Trailer coupling bracket lock?

A plain coupling lock doesn't work as my trailer coupling is evidently wider than normal.

just looking at this contraption

which looks great in theory, although it looks like you'd just be able to push the top of the bracket off the coupling?? and not sure if it stays good during transit?? Anybody used one, what they like in practice.

doubt it is designed to use when your moving, the bit on the bottom that fits inside the tow coupling what does that fit into when there is a towbar in the way

change your coupling for a new one. they arent expensive

Just drill two holes below the handle and if you then slide a long padlock though them then no-one can lift the lever.
Ahead of the back two bolts in that link picture - a padlock through that lot and there'll be no lifting of that coupling handle.
And weld ya coupling to the frame, or at least burr the shit outa those bolts, you can always cut them off yourself later if you ever need to.
Now for the paranoid bit - check your vehicle towbar fixings.
IF your bike trailer is skinnier than a standard 6x4 trailer it would be THEORETICALLY possible for someone to undo the entire towbar mount and roll your entire trailer up onto the deck, with a car towbar mount dangling off the front..
Over the top I know but when some bastards couldn't unlock the chains I had holding down my old XR500 to my ute so they stole the whole ute.
Oh and school holidays seem to be the worst time for theiving.

thanks, i checked out the bracket but it's designed for coupling that has thread & nut on end (otherwise can push off). hadn't thought of changing the coupling, had a look and the holes don't line up with a new one (old different layout...). bought a wheel clamp for now...
