Hey all.... again!,
After 4 months back in Wellington, I have decided to accept employment that will take me back to Auckland. :scooter: The temp job I have is great financially but I am keen to pursue things I am passionate about rather than purely focusing on finances.
I start with my new job on 24 May and head back to Auckland on 1 July.
The hospitality of the Wellington KB social riders has been great! I usually managed 2 to 3 of the week night rides over Summer and had a blast. The Kapiti Crew have been awesome to ride with!
Hope to get in a few more rides with the locals before I leave in July and very much looking forward to the riding skills day at Manfield on the 10th.
It will be sad to leave such great riding friends, but it will also be good to see the North Auckland countryside again and catch up with all the northern riders and old friends up there.:scooter:

Well what can I say. You cant let an O year go by without a party now can you?
Hey Cam,
I guess this is great news for the Aucklanders - we will miss you down here. You had a huge input into the Welly riding scene the short time you were here and that is obvious by the great regard everyone holds for you.
Now - What date was that party.....
Cheers - Q

I think I blushed! Thank you so much for that. Lets make sure we get another ride or three in before I go. I feel more coffee and cake is needed!

Couldn't agree more with Quasi. Especially coming from all the newbs riders like me, it's been pretty awesome having folk like you there to help us out and keep an eye on us all. We have all appreciated it muchly!

I worked out that my daily commute on the Hayabusa will be exactly 140km each day. Cool............. 700km per average working week. Roughly 1.75 tanks of gas at a cruise.

Would it be safe to eat after that?

So considering Auckland traffic you will only be able to cruise.

The work around is called shift-work. Especially given its all the way from north to south and back.

Man, how did I miss this thread?
Shame to see you leaving Cam, the newbie group rides wouldn't have been the same without the fastest production bike in the world holding the tail of a line of 250s! And it was great to catch up with you when we stopped for food, those damn aucklanders are lucky to be getting you back!
Thank you for your time helping the newbies, and I hope you enjoy your job in Auckland. Life is too short to waste it working a job you can't stand.

Thanks for that mate, very kind. It was a pleasure to come along and help out on the rides. Just finished work today and off for a 5 week course starting Sunday. Riding back to North Auckland 1 July.
As far as the job goes, I really enjoyed it, but I am looking forward to getting back to the country home and lifestyle.... and getting back to kicking criminal arses.

Power to you! Do you need a really motivated PA per chance?

First week down, four to go. Will be glad to leave the weather behind, although sadly I am sure I am up for many thousands of miles yet in the wind and rain travelling to and from work!

Well, I finally finish my 6 months in Wellington this Saturday and travel to Taupo for an overnighter on the Sunday, then return to North Auckland on Monday.
Hoping for a fine couple days riding, but don't have my hopes too high!
Had a great time with the social riding scene down here and looking forward to doing the same back up north. Roll on Summer again!!
