My front tyre developed a bad case of the mumps, not helped by being the wrong side of 1.5mm. Tag makes a good test ride after refitting the front wheel myself and rotating the front brake pads, glad hi-torque opened long enough to get the new tyre.

Old one is about 74 Mazengarb Rd and the new one for you

at the distances you are talking about no handheld torch is ever going to throw enough light for a phone camera. What you need is something chucking out 1000 lumens and the ability to wind your shutter speed to about 1 sec or even more, an eternity for your average iPhone or Samsung!

I'm running lasertechs on the front of mine and I've never done better than just over 7k
I managed to get 13k out of a set of avon venoms but I much prefer the feel of the lasertechs.

Yup, Lazertecs wear pretty fast but they are grippy, I stopped using them on the old bike cos they were so unstable once they started to wear a bit. Bridgestone BT-45's were the best bias plys I found, longer wearing, dual compound and cheaper than lazertecs
The pirellis are just showing some wear now but should be good for another 5k.

Yup, lazertecs were factory fitment on my old vx800 but after switching to bridgestones I wouldn't go back. At first they feel about the same but I found the metzlers developed a mind of their own after only about 3000ks. The rear was the problem more than the front. bridgestones felt better for at least twice as long.

That was a last resort file pic, as it started spitting on me while I was getting the Ratanui road tag. The road is off Guxxxxxd Drxxx, road names has been censored to protect the innocent :-)

I'm pretty sure the sign is illegal in itself, there is no 'authorised by' on it, and that road is the only access to sections that are still for sale up there and to the reservoir.
I think it is just a bluff by the residents so as to minimise the pile of condoms at the top.
