I just came across this gem in the Melbourne Age:
Cabbie flips over egg stunt
A group of youths who hurled an egg at a taxi came off second best when the driver flipped, allegedly arming himself with a knife and smashing every window in their car with a tyre lever.
The taxi driver allegedly tried to force the youths off the road, ploughing into their car after an egg was thrown at his cab in Geelong about 11.30pm last night.
The group of five males was chased from the CBD into a reserve car park off Thompson Rd, where their car hit the gutter and blew a tyre.
Police allege the taxi driver then crashed into the side of their car, armed himself with a tyre lever and knife and smashed every window and the tail lights on the car.
The driver, 41, later handed himself into police and is expected to be charged on summons with conduct endangering life, assault, criminal damage and numerous traffic offences.
A 17-year-old boy from Teesdale who threw the egg has been cautioned by police for discharging a missile.
He and the other males, aged 16, 17, 18 and 20, suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Police are calling for witnesses.
I don't generally have much time for Taxi drivers. But I hope that somebody buys him a beer.
If somebody was throwing eggs at my car, I'd certainly feel tempted to act as he did.
One man against five. :Punk:
