Hi all,
I recently got a 1999 Suzuki AE50 running after a five year stint under my mate's house. While i was unclogging it, I pulled the exhaust off and it had about a cup out 2-stroke oil in the pipe. I've never really worked on a 2-stroke before so I am just guessing but if the oil made it in such quantity to the pipe, I guess there is something funny with the oil line/tap by the carb? Now the bike is up and running, the engine runs smooth, and the carb sounds okay, but the bike smokes like anything. I know I've done a poor job of cleaning the exhaust out, so I know that will add to it, but the bike smokes up from the moment the engine fires. I'm guessing it just means the oil is just running in too rich and burning up? Ah yeah, and the plug is oily but not fouling.
Any helpful insights/knowledge or help with remedying this would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
