If they ping Ferrari on that, then that's quite likely Ducati screwed. No more Marlboro money, no more Ducati MotoGP bike unless someone else ponies up a 100 mil a year quick smart :weep:
They've been doing that for years - I'm surprised it took the thought police so long.
The used to have signage that was the side on silhouette of a race car, and from a distance you'd swear it said Marlboro..

Oh, no doubt about it, and I too am surprised it took the fun nazis this long. I really hope that it doesn't play out like you'd expect though :(

I had a mate who worked for Marlboro Yamaha in the nineties and he had a whole bunch of shoulder & chest flashes with different logo's on for different markets.
They ranged from the word "Marlboro" to wear in Japan, to red and white rectangles for Germany.
I've got a couple somewhere..

Hope they don't come for the RGV next... they'll have to rip the Lucky Strike fairings from my cold dead hands

Ducati Marlboro Team..... mmmmm something in that name?????
ohhhh it's on the tip on my lighter :)
I find it difficult to believe that Europe has nothing better to worry about.
If that makes you want to smoke, Darwin would approve. It's only a matter of time until you want in front of a bus or something.

I have faith in the legal minds at Philip Morris International. You have to wonder how long the company plands to maintain it's relationship with Ferrari though with Santander taking a bigger portion of the bodywork these days.
The competition is perhaps less subtle than PM. There's no subliminal messaging in the Rizla Suzuki livery and I doubt much of that sponsor's product is digested in any other way than smoking it.

I did a deal. I get to keep mine in exchange for providing your address. Don't think of it as me selling you out, think of it as providing you with a reason to modify the RGV further.
