I get it! I don't mind it but I don't want one and like Quasi said wouldn't be seen on it.
There like hot rod cars, it takes a well kinda special person to own and drive them, wots the word??? extrovert, lacking in apendage size. LOFL.

I say personalise your ride.
However fitting a super oversize rear tyre to a good handling bike strikes me as rather pointless.
Consider this:
Even if you have a really small weanie and are trying to compensate for it, surely the mega big tyre will only make it look smaller! Go for a skinny rear tyre, then when you flop out the undersize passion-rod it will look bigger in comparison.

Thats wicked. Yea the sports custom scene is starting to grow a little here in CHCH. Seeing a few really cool paint jobs and custom work being done now. Its cool...

Kiwi's are too chicken to step outside the 'acceptable' square and decide for themselves.

if yoiu buy some aussie bike mags they send some photos in of some really sic custom rides. over there they are really getting hard into the bling. it wud be great to have a bling ride for city crusin, but also another useful ride for day to day stuff.

That`s mean.
Why should it just be for those chopper/harley things?
You have to remember, in some cases its an expression of art or whatever...the actual practicality of the ride takes second place.

I say good on em,there money therefore do what they want. The obvious opinion from many ie "it wont handle blah blah blah" is laughable even more so in NZ where strictly road ridden latest model supposed superbikes are somewhat of a fashion statement more often than not ridden by people that wouldnt stretch a 600s abilitys let alone a 1000.

I think you might have the appendage thing 'round the wrong way: someone is lacking testicular fortitude if they don't give something go, not if they do. Long live the folks who inhabit the outer edges of the bell curve, they're a helluva lot more interesting than the folks in the middle.

I don't know about doing that, but I will probably do this to my thou.
I miss the old superbike look and figure I can make my own.The base of light weight and good HP, just needs some handlebars and a few bits. I find I'm not as flexible as I used to be, plus , sit up is how I've always ridden.
Well, there are two forums i regularly visit...This being one of them, and the other being www.customfighters.com (http://www.customfighters.com)
I am intruged by the custom scene and am planning up my build for my ninja...Custom Fighters has a lot of useful tips for modding, and also a shit load of bullshit...just like here
So, if you do sign up on that forum you will find me as "SouthernRider"
