I'm out every day on my bike at 6am. I just got my new old RC51 and noticed the odo keeps resetting, so figure there's a loose connection somewhere (which actually is guaranteed as I'm involved in the story). So this morning I wheel the bike out and shut the garage, otherwise the Scorpions tend to make la famille think the richters going mental. So far so good.

I pull a touch of choke...make sure its adjusted slightly to the left and then pay attention to the bike. Squeeze the starter and listen for the distinctive pop and the kick in the guts...whining, but no gravy stroke. Hmm. No spark, so start wondering what else happened with my loose connections. Maybe the k's have finally got the better of the old girl. Maybe it's time to call in a duvet day and spend some quality time in the garage with my baby. I hop off the bike and think about it. Obviously this is useless as its 6am and consciousness only starts at 8 after 2 coffees and a blow job....or at least it would if I had spent more time practicing yoga.

So I wheel the RC back into the garage and contemplate the next action. Strip the tail end back and start checking my wiring? Maybe take the front plug off and check the spark? Lets try and kick it over again. It's at this point my still asleep yet ever helpfull right thumb brushes the kill switch and I hear the bike's brain whine into action...fortunately miles in advance of mine. I humbly wheel the bike back out, close the garage and yearn for coffee and a blow job to make the day go better.

God I love bikes.

I do this about 6.30am, also trying not to wake up the family but seem to wake up the entire neighbourhood anyway with the Micron.

Lol, even after 17 years of almost constant daily riding this one still occasionally gets me on really groggy mornings. You are not alone ;)

Blow jobs are a great way to start any day :D And I suppose the coffee helps too when I get to work.


God I love bikes.
After having kids I fell into the trap of becoming a straight line communter, no time for weekend rides through the twisties.
I've recently switched from my old GSXR1100K to a GSXR1000K6 and hoo-boy how that has reignited the passion for riding again.
One of my old buddies did call me a squid when he heard what was I riding now. Hey, the salesman said, "you might like to try this one..." So I did. The test ride didn't take long before I knew my bank account was going to take a big hit.
So with the good grace of a very understanding wife who gave me plenty of time-off from family stuff in recent weekends I've really been enjoying the new ride and all the joy of taking it through the twisties to learn how it handles and its limits vs my own. Me, limited. Gixxer, not so much.
In any case, the upshot of all this is that yeah... "God I love bikes" too.

Trying washing your bike and then having to clean and CRC the killswitches on the sidestand, clutch and RHS bar,..as bike dunt wanna start anymore !!!

reminds me of when I was a schoolboy learning to ride in the early 80's. A mate lent me his XL125 (or 100, can't remember) to go for a spin. Was working weekends on a farm out at near the Ch-Ch Airport and started heading to Hornby. Got to an intersection to turn & must have hit the old kill switch as well as the indicator at the same time. I had no fucking idea why the bike had died!:shit:
Anyway, pushed the bike all the way back to work (about 2 kms), it must have been 30 degrees.
I got arseholes for that. Never done it again funnily enough.
