View Full Version : Dogs are loyal and friendly, cats are aloof and uncaring?
I just found this video on the net, challenges a lot of peoples preconceptions about cats. My cousins had a huge ginger tomcat that attacked a dog when it threatened my 2 year old cousin, probably saved his life. Some people think cats are lone creatures, but even abandoned cats form colonies (amusingly the correct name for a colony of wild cats is "a destruction").

When my girls were young there were always dramas and fights with someone getting upset. The cat (ginger) we had at the time would come racing in when someone was upset,he would be very concerned and try to comfort the one who was crying. All my cats are stays, and when we got another which was abandoned at the caravan next door he was not very friendly to her,he would have nothing at all to do with her.But he would feed her - he was a good ratter, and would catch mice and call her, giving her the mouse and making sure she didn't let it get away.Daisy Mae and Biff.

silly mother should not be teacher child to kick/throw ball in the house...what's gonna happen when he gets older and he's not allowed to do it anymore, he gonna be more vicious than that cat...why didnt' she just kick the thing. Cats can fly!

Looked like it was a babysitter to me, which also makes the cat's actions more understandable.
Although I don't find the cat's attack half as strange as putting full colour security cameras all through your house.
