Advice wanted for trip to the Nurburgring GP

So it appears I've convinced my new other half to lets us have time on our honeymoon at the Nuburgring during the GP weekend. My questions are...

Any advice on things to look out for while being at the Nurburgring?

Has anyone ever stayed at the accommodation next to the Nurburgring?

How crazy are the techno crazed German motorcycle fans?

Or anything else you may feel relevant for me.
