Arrrrrrrrrggggggggggggg!

What kind of oil did you put in it last time it was serviced? Is it time for a oil change service? When was the last time you checked your oil level?

At this stage however I would suggest any motor oil (Shell Helix, Mobil Super, BP somthing or other) would be a lot better than no oil. Just do it right now.

On the FZR the red light is just an oil level light NOT an oil pressure light so it flashing isn't the end of the world. AS Flip says, put any old thing in there for now.

The chap I bought mine from swears Caltex Delo is the hot ticket for these engines. I always thought is was a desiel oil but as he has already done umpteen million miles (on 2nd engine...) who am I to argue?

Yes your bike has an oil filter. Go to BNT to get a quality brand replacement. Its cheap insurance to change the filter pretty regularly

Oil type or grade engine oil; SAE20w40se or SAE10w30se
Periodic oil change; 2ltrs
With oil filter replacement; 2.2ltrs
Total amount 2.7ltrs

It's likely it has a oil level sensor, so it should be sweet. My old FZR thou light use to come on all the time..

Just change the oil and filter.
