Some might say the Yamahaha deserved it, especially a gay coloured one, but I just realised on getting back from the Cold Duck some cowardly bastard had keyed my tank there when I wasn't looking. :shit::angry:I would have rather they did it when I was looking so at least I could have had some fun.:bash:
1. Did this happen to anyone else or just me?
2. Has this happened to anyone else before?
Na fuck that!
KUNCE! dosen't matter what the bike is, its not theirs to fucken' touch with or without a key.
That Plate is available.

No, thats just a bastard of a thing to happen. What a bastard, I hope you get it sorted without spending too much, although I guess any cost is too much.
But even KB is starting to fill up with wankers, who think your bike has to be "worthy" before you are a biker. They abuse me when they see me on a scooter, then dont recognise me and shake my hand when I'm on the K100.
But I remember them.

Bro, that flippin sucks butt, I can't believe a fellow biker would commit such an act, regardless of the gayness of ones bike, that is completely unnecessary. That deserves a stoning for sure......
On the flip side, you can now re paint the bike, and guess what, no bike looks gay in Matt Black! except maybe a cagiva, however worse for them is that they sound like an exotic sexually transmitted disease...... Cagiva (cargeeeeeva visualise a pussie cargeeva) mmmmm maybe not....

Thats a bit low. I'd have to be pretty fucking upset to touch someones bike. Dunno what it would take to do that.

You sure it couldn't have just been a dunkard's belt buckle? Not saying that makes it any better but it COULD have been an accident. You sure it's key damage?
Unusual to get shit like that at any rally, regardless of your mechanical politics.

That is not on. Not even remotely ok, how dare someone damage a Yay-maha!
Leaves a bit of a bad taste in your mouth really. I am sorry your pride and joy was intentionally damaged, lets hope that the person/s responsible are also intentionally damaged in return.

I'd go for an accidental scrape, someone leaning over bike belt buckle or something. Just looks to random for a keying and if done intentionally I'm sure it would be a lot deeper. Then again I'm only going of the photo.

Doesn't look like key damage to me, and doesn't look deliberate.

Good point, possible, but he would be wrestling or trying to have relations with it (maybe gay Yamahas are his favorite, sorry about the mental picture ). I dont wanna get too anal about it but , There is one remote possibility that some monkey scraped the shit out of it with his tent poles. But that wouldn't be so scribbly.

Nope all my shit was strapped on its arse end.

What a asshole and I know which asshole did it !!! If I see you at cold kiwi I'm going to smack you had in, you know who you are !
As we arrive to duck, we chose corner close to patriot's tent . As we got back from poker run , we got block-out by arrogant guys from sulfur city (Rotorua ) on Harley sportser and about 5 cursers . So we decide to get our bikes at back of our tent and line it up so we leave gap . Then another bike come and park it up to patriot tent and block-out bikes next to fence , it look like we did block exit . But is asshole next to fence that keyed your bike. He told me sunday morning look at this cunt blocking us off as you were at back of me. I told him not to wory, it is my mates bike and I will move it. So I did move it cos I can see how piss -of he is, it is shame he is not KB . After that I have gone to WC twice sunday morning and I know he did it then, as no one was around awake yet . Ashole is from Wellington but hey I seeing you before and we will see you again, you cocksucker!:bash:

Agree with Reemit here Mr Pelenda, unless you saw this dude do the damage your just gonna make yaself out to be the asshole if you front him at the next one !
No-one should care about being blocked in at the duck, sunday morning clears out pretty bloody quick, However in saying that, we do arrive early friday, set up camp, and take up as much space as we think we might need, with the bikes in a position where the foot traffic aint gonna walk into em or by them ! Ppl are learning not to set up a tent too close to a fire thats liable to blow it's guts at any time during the night also !

A small rock or sharp debris lodged between leg and tank will make those marks too.

If you're 9' tall most of which would have to be legs in order to get that high and forward on the tank.

1. That should never ever, ever happen at a Rally.
2. Whoever did do this, should hang their head in shame as a 'biker'
PeeJay
14th May 2010, 05:57
Hard to see that being a "key". You would be there for 5 mins to do all those backwards and forwards and ups and downs .
More likely accidental.
Something with multiple scratchy things being dragged past eg saddlebags

Ah - unfortunately the myth of the biker family etc etc s just that - a myth.... There are a 1000 subtribes and they all pretty well hate each other ;-( I've seen much worse done by 'bkers' to other 'bikers'....

My son's bike got tampered with at a biker's funeral...kill switch engaged, bike put in gear, tank scratched and a cigarette burn on the seat!!!
Nothing you can do about it!
It sux, but you can't change the fact that some people have no respect for anything/anybody!

On sat night my arse got pinched by a chick, but I was not damaged.
After a few rallys you will soon learn to park your bikes together and around your tents to discourage walk throughs.

Yeah - we tried to jam our bikes together (Beemer, Yam, Kwaka and Slowzuki). Luckily we didn't have a Honda amongst them, or they would have all been fucked.
Anyway - that is a damn asshole of a thing to do. I can't see it being accidental - not that amount of damage.

Even if it was an accident, the perp should have apologised..
Got my bike scraped at a track day by someone trying to pull in next to it.. some reasonably bad damage to the fairings, and not a word ..
They must have known cause they left in a hurry

Those scratches are at all sorts of angles and deep, that is deliberate.

My legs cover the badges on most and it has happened to me. Not that bad but a small bit of road chip in the knee fold of goretex pants scuffed up a test bike.
Rubbish under a tank bag will do that sort of damage too.
The square bit is sus though.

Are you seriously saying that in a normal riding position your knees are that far above the indents in the tank designed to accomodate them? You must look like a frog when riding most sprotsbikes.

Monkey humping a football is the standard description.
I'm 195cm - on older ones my knees cover some of the badges - yeah - not sure about this one.
They actually sit higher than the tank on some bikes - various harleys and standards. It was a Bonneville that I had the scuffage on - right under the Harmonica.
Modern sculpted tank sports bikes not so - but the logos tend to be more on the top.
I can't ride a B-king. Legs don't fit in the cut outs.
Don't look too bad on a ZX14 I just gave back. Ridiculous on a F4 1000.
