It will not fit the carbureted model. Its good for thye road out of the box but if it ends up with a racer it needs;
A totally different compression body assembly
A different size shaft jet
Totally different valving
A different spring rate
The end bushing in the cylinder head needs replacing with a self aligning bearing, relevant distance spacers and seals.
About $500 to $600 worth of work
As a means of reference when we sell one of these new to a racer we automatically do all of these upgrades at no further cost at point of sale. It is absolutely and totally unsuitable for racing ''out of the box''

$1599.90 incl gst in NZ with full upgrade done and full backup. To clarify this model of shock is specd for ''roadbike commuter use'' only, to make suitable for ProTwins / F3 and trackdays its 100% essential to have the upgrade done that I rattled off. If anyone buys one from the States and thinks theyve made a saving they are going to be horrified at how it doesnt work on the track and screws tyres in short order.
We sort all that at no extra cost providing it is done at time of sale. If someone brings us a shock that needs this done its $500 to $600.

Cheers,will add i am not trying to piss anyone off (you or any other suspension people) i came across it and as it was just across the ditch thought someone here might want it,to be honest if i hadnt had plenty of dealings with the seller of it over the years i wouldnt have bothered as the last thing i need is to put someone onto the guy and something goes sour.

No, no worries. I am totally up front about whats needed when selling a shock. Recently we upgraded just such a shock that had been parallell imported and the guy who sold it ( who in this case should have known better ) misrepresented it. I just dont want anyone else to fall into the same trap
