Well - bloody State keep dropping the insured value of my old bikes. I've been with them decades and never ever made a bike claim. 1 burg and a few minor car scrapes in 30 plus years.
Pricks want a written valuation every year to change the value which is annoying and illogical considering they took my word for what it was worth in the 1st place... I mean with either the Guzzi or the triumph it will be me that fixes it, I just want 3rd party cover and a little cash for the parts.
If I have to re evaluate this insurance I may as well do the lot as I have always preferred to deal with one company. Or maybe a broker is the best bet?
What says the collective conscience of the KB part of the web???

You will find it hard to go past kiwibike insurance in New Plymouth for classic bike insurance. I have both My BMW K100RS and my '85 GSXR750 covered by them on their multibike classic cover. Costs me about 350 ( from memory) for both bike per annum. I was tee boned by a car last year while on the K100, put the claim in, no dramas. A couple of photos to the assessor and a pay out was offered. (In fact for more than the insured value). They wanted to write the bike off and take it, but I suggested a lower payout figure and for me to retain the bike. This was agreed to, so I accepted the slightly lower payout and repaired the bike myself.I can not recommend them enough!!

+1. I used to use a single broker for all my insurance, but it just doesn't work out when it comes to bikes. I gave them an opportunity to match the price and cover being given by Kiwibike (cover was better at a cheaper price with an underwriter with a better credit rating), but they couldn't. So now I have my bike insured via Kiwibike.
