I'm off to Niue with work. I am quite interested to see if you all can crack the 50'000 new posts by the time I get back in 8-12 weeks.
Safe roads, sunny days and no revenue collectors on your roads to you all in the meantime :D
Take Care Storm.
Keep us posted if you can.

Hey, have a good time in Nuie. I have worked there a few times. Great little spot, a bit quiet (take a few books) excellent snorkling. Nice people. You can hire a scooter to go around the Island. If Mr Stafford Guest is still running the Sails Resturant and Bar, give him my regards.
What will you be doing there?

Rewiring and upgrading the NZ High Comissioners residence, ditto for the deputy High Com as well as various electrical tasks as they crop up. They do apprently have access but it is during my work hours, so I wont be able to get to it.
So I'll miss all you crazy buggers for 2 months. Maybe it'll be just the thing to cure my little habit. :D
Cheers for all the good wishes :grouphug:

Try the main Telecom office in the shopping square in Alofi, they may have public internet there. Otherwise one of the hotels may have it.

First of all, its great to be back in warm sunny nz-yeah right!
You will all be happy to know that you have chuckled, argued, gasbagged and posted a whopping46,617 times since I logged on the last time(24th May)
Congratukations! :grouphug: You clearly have nothing better to do in life than post it would seem. Well done, you make me proud. Got a wee tear in my eye I have.
So could someone like the inimatible Mr Hitcher fill me on on the general gist please? I dont really want to spend all 9 days of leave reading posts.
PS Cheers for the good work John

Man, that's an extraodinary amount of (mostly) mindless drivel posted! Pity it wasn't all verbal - we could have generated some electricity from the hot air!
What happened while you were away? Nothing much. We were sort of bereft without you, so we were just sitting around, pining, twiddling our thumbs, and wondering when you'd get back.
Welcome back, by the way. :spudwave:
Good to have you back.

Welcome back. Did you miss me?
I take it your mailing out our presents?
Storm
20th July 2005, 13:50
I did, much as it both ashames and horrifies me to admit it.
Presents- yeah right-my luggage is still in Tonga and the only person who got presents was the other half.
PS Its not that I dont think you're all a top bunch, its just that with the rising cost of the ^&* petrol, I have to be saving to support my habit :devil2:
