ATTN: KLX300 owners

Hi Guys,
Im looking for a stock exhaust from a klx300.

Hoping one of you guys has one in the back of the wardrobe or up the back of the shed, after upgrading to a high performance slip on or full system.
Im looking to open up my klx250 motard commuting machine :Punk:.
I dont want to pay the earth for one, but let me know what ya have

im pretty sure the stock KLX250 and 300 exhaust is actually the same for both models??? tho could be wrong

they have the same size header pipe mate.
give scott of here a ring , he owns mr motorcycles and he will be able to sort a bigger header pipe . does make a difference.

not quite true, the stock offroad versions are the same, but the klx250 he is talking about will be the road model which is much more restrictive,

the Standard KLX300 one will be the go, and even better is the bigger header pipe with the KLX300 muffler, i do not have a muffler but i will try to find one, pm me for more details

pretty sure the header i have sitting in a corner in the garage is the original from my 1999 KLX300, replaced it with a larger diameter one. you're welcome to have it if you havn't found one yet.

maybe pm me your email address and i'll send a photo of it so you can confirm it's what you're after (pretty sure it is).

The internet is a wonderful place for modding bikes, found lots of info on exhaust, intake, jetting + a few other things from klxforum.suncup.net and kawasakiforums.com.
Both forums recomend the same mods, so thats the road im heading down. K&N filter, open up the airbox, remove backfire gause, lift needle, drill slide hole to 3mm, #40 pilot jet,
set fuel screw to apx 2.5 turns out (as a starting point), klx 300 header and pipe. Should make my comute alittle more exciting!!

Yeah mate, from the messurments you'v given me our headers are the same, There may be a chance that the OZ/NZ model klx250/300 use the same header pipe,
im not 100% yet, but prety sure, il know with abit more forum trolling
