just wanted to get some views on this bike from anyone that knows much about them? all i know is that they are the same engine as the zxr but are slightly more tuned to be lower down torque wise. it would be my first 250cc, and to me the earlier bikes (4 cylinder) have more fun in them for a longer length of time. i.e not be sick of them too early. As knowing me, I will have the bike for longer then the 18 month licensing period (going from learners through to my full).
so basically just wanted some thoughts on the bike, from a maintenance/performance/reliability point of view.
thanks people.
:done:
I test rode one after I bought my CBR250R, I liked it, it had a decent whack of performance to it and felt quite comfortable to ride. I didn't like the lack of fairings, which made things far more draughty than I preferred.

yeah the fairing thing is something i have thought about. but in saying that, the riding i would be doing is just purely around town, except from the wednesday night rides or weekend blat if i get around to it. thanks CJ

never used it in that capacity. I bought it for my wife to get her license on. I took it for a couple of blats in the country side and that's about it.
