Been pretty constant here since dusk last night, but not as good as down your neck of the woods 58mm so far for the day is pretty impressive (Morven your closest meter on the link)

Pretty saturated here. The creek that has been dry for months, right up until yesterday, and by 1pm today it filled, flooded, burst it's banks and is streaming across the road. Yup, it is raining.

Well, we won't be getting mail today, either! The stream is still running across our road. The rain continued all night, but now it is easing (still coming down, however) The temperature is six degrees and we hope it doesn't drop much more, because snow would be a damn nuisance. Hubby has been banging nails in on the roof in an effort to stop the drips coming in. Good man, I wouldn't want to be on the roof in the rain, myself. If the rain stops, the water levels should drop fairly quickly around here, I think. Cheers.

Still raining in christchurch. Be interesting to see how high the styx river is when I head home from work tonight, was up to the top of the boat ramp last night so with todays rain it could be up onto the road by the end of the day with high tide at 3pm.
Not looking like improving anytime soon either, think the trip into lake sumner this weekend is off:eek5:

Well it stopped raining at 5.15,for 35 minutes its now pissing down again bugger it.Water is creeping higher and if it doesnt stop soon then we will have to start pumping it out to the street, weatherman reckons its going to snow which would be a pleasant change not to mention it would give the water a chance to subside some.Apart from that all is good though the dogs had enough and seems to hold me accountable for his lack of out and about time :angry:Hopefully its better tomorrow.
