The "man" had every choice about being there. He wasn't "fighting" the bull for food or because he was in mortal danger, and he certainly wasn't attempting to despatch the bull in anything resembling a quick and relatively painless way.

GO THE BULL... might be alone in this but I have no sympathy whatsoever. Look at the bull bleeding from all the spears... yes I know the meat [is supposed] to go to the poor but ever since I went to a night of this'sport' in Spain I've supported the bulls over the matadors!
