Didn't think I'd ever start an actor down thread but I thought this guy had some great moments. RIP Dennis............

And that Cult Classic, Dennis Hopper co-wrote and directed, IMO - Nicholson stole the show....

Good clip TGW, I immediately thought of Easy rider when I heard the sad news and yes I agree Nicholson the Unknown made himself a star right there, I love an underdog though and I thought his portrayal of defiance against almost certain death in true romance was superb.
There are some clips of Dennis in a very sorry state on youtube but I'd rather remember him at his best, a somewhat underrated actor maybees but great none the less. Thanks for the clip mate.

Not a bad actor but as a director I think he did even better.

Hmmm, 74 years old and 5 marriages: I couldn't help thinking he was doing something wrong.....right up until I saw his current squeeze, now I reckon he might have been on to something.........

One of his marriages only lasted 8 hours. When asked how it was he replied: "The first 7 hours were not bad..."
