This Super Sherpa is all set up for adventure touring, and with its confidence-inspiring low seat height (around 830mm) it would make an excellent adventure bike for a short person, or a newer rider. I have owned this bike from new, so I am well qualified to tell you what an excellent motorcycle it is. Don’t be deceived by its rugged good looks – the Super Sherpa is very nice to ride on twisty tar seal, as well as on gravel, and off road.
The following features make the Super Sherpa an awesome adventure touring machine:
Custom touring seat
Dual compound grips with grip heaters
Zeta handguards in eye-catching orange, with LED indicators
Extra bright rear LED indicators
Luggage racks, and a rear carrier
15 litre fuel tank with integral fuel level indication
Near new 45 tooth Chain Gang rear sprocket (2 teeth larger than the stock sprocket)
Near new Kawasaki front sprocket, and o-ring chain.
High rise renthal bars
ADV and Fükengrüven stickers, so people will instantly recognise you as a hard core adventurer
Trailwing TW 301/302 tyres
WOF and Registration until September
It also comes with cool extra stuff:
Brand new spare front brake lever, slightly second hand spare clutch lever
Stock 9 litre tank, in attractive black, silver and orange
Pillion foot rests and grab rails
Original bars
Original instruction manual
Kawasaki Workshop manual, which contains information so secret that Kawasaki New Zealand do not want you to see it.
The slightly ugly original rear indicators
As you can see, the Super Sherpa is a serious adventure touring weapon. It has completed the Grand Challenge (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=275752), been in two Capital Coast Adventures (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=563205), been on three awesome (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=322254) South Island (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=438847) holidays (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=555898), done numerous Kiwibiker adventure rides, and toured outback Australia (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=460829). And it’s only done 49,550km! (pausing briefly every 6000km for an oil change)
The Super Sherpa is propelled by the awesome power of a 250cc air cooled single cylinder engine. You’ll never check your radiator level again, or live in fear of an open-road speeding ticket.
You too could be living a life of adventure on this Super Sherpa.
