Yes Rossi needs to strike back at Lorenzo with a win this weekend. If Lorenzo got 3 wins on the trot he'd be nigh on impossible to stop. Go Rossi!

Rossi has already won. Won the gayest haircut ever award!

Dude, sounds like you're interested.. Anyway, no ones haircut could ever be as gay as Simoncelli's... EVER!

Nah...I like chickies! Rossi's hair would be the same as Simoncelli's if he let it grow mate! Still...haircuts aside...be a brave man that bet against Rossi this weekend.

Just an early session but good to see Rossi leading. It appears his shoulder injury is a lot more serious than first mentioned and may require surgery. ( I wondered this in earlier races as his performance was down) Crew chief Burgess has said the injury is showing up later in sessions and races, with earlier braking and slower corner speed on telemetry.
Yes Sarge, go Vale !! and go Yamaha. Mugello is a fantastic place, and has to be seen to be believed. G.

Will it require surgey, or is Vale playing his mind games? meh, it matters not, Whore-hey will clean up! :D I'm really looking forward to more close racing, hopefully Casey can stay on for more than 2 laps!

1st: Whore-hey
2nd: Vale
3rd: Dovi

Yeah funny you should say that, at LeMans you could see via the over head shots that Rossi was losing out by quite a way in corner speed to Lorenzo and this would go a long way to explaining it, cheers.

Dam Rossi out. Qualifying took on a different slant for me, like something missing.
Thought the Hondas would be fast here. Jorge strong and my bet now in a fight with Pedrosa.
Ducatis better, in fact all in that group behind will be spurred on.
Whatever I'm sure Jorge would prefer a straight fight with a fit Rossi if he continues to a title.

Well the race was ok I suppose, but for me something was missing. I found the pre race chat pretty emotional with the support showed for Vale and many tears flowing for him. (love those italians)
He certainly is Mr Motogp. Gaz

havn't seen race as i had to many beers and feel asleep during the moto2 race.. But have read the report on the moto gp website and sounds like Pedrosa had the measure of the field but maybe Jorge let him go to insure he finished on the podium. Good to Stoner finally getting a good finish. Now i just have to wait for sky to play the replay.

Actually now the cat is out of the bag so to speak, it wasn't a case of Lorenzo letting Pedrosa go, Midget just kicked arse! Lorenzo wasn't well pleased either. I think like most people Lorenzo thought he had that in the bag with Rossi temporarily out of the way and yeah Stoner's placing wasn't too bad but the best part of 30 seconds off the pace.

Ok , line up over there to whip me -------------------------------------------->

Rossi has in my opinion been transformed into some kind of Demi-God in the paddock , awesome marketing but if it was just him , there would be no sport.
A few years ago an Aussie was given absolute shit for being the best for so long and he only did it due to no opposition, bollocks he was the best at the time .
As Jorge was leading the series before Rossi crashed (yes a human oopps heaven forbid) and as such he has been so far this year the better rider or better prepared / backed team.
I have been a bit sick of Moto GP lately because there is the risk of it being a "lets watch Rossi again situation", even when he isnt leading there is a massive amount of camera time dedicated to the guy , yes he deserves the cudos as one of the greatest racers ever but there is a whole grid to watch and support. The marketing machine has been managed very very well by the entire Fiat Yamaha team along with the main promoters of Moto GP and the Italian press / television .
My concern is this ... Rossi is the centre of attention , if he is (for any reason) not able to continue racing is that the demise of the premier class of bike racing as the star attraction is no longer in the limelight. Possible , but i hope it does not happen.

PS; that was an amazing race , especially the second bunch of 4.

Paul.

I have a bet with a customer again this year for $100.00 that Stoner will beat Rossi in the championship. Might be my turn to collect, after I had to pay him out last year. Seem to recall having the same bet but for a carton of Steinies with a certain KB member. And another KBer has bet me a carton of beer that Edwards will beat Spies. Think I'm gonna have lots of beer. Still think Spies will win a race too. Be good for him at Silverstone where nobody knows the track. He was getting pretty close to the battle for forth this time...

Yeah i guess you are right as Pedrosa did set a new track record on the 5th lap so Pedrosa did have better pace all race.

Yeah go Spies right up there and he had never ridden the track!!
Go you little champ!

Thank god stoner managed a 4th, he doesnt seem very confident at the moment

Pedrosa was awesome, like they said, thats the ideal situation for him, if he can get out front and charge hard its all over!
Lorenzo was so shitty ahhahaha kind of funny, could have at least congratulated pedrosa!

Well Pedrobot was wickedly fast & Horehey must of been pissed cause he didn't even shake Pedrobots hand after the race,. The battle for 4th was good, but something has got to be done about the camera's, there's a battle on the last lap for 4th where someone could possibly crash & get hurt & all the camera focus is on 2nd & 3rd place crossing the line (watching on P2P network).
Wouldn't it be awesome if the TV viewer could change switch between camera's so yo can watch what you want.
Any way that Moto 2 was awesome stuff

Don't forget the carton on Spies to win going away at Laguna.... that cancels out the carton on Edwards... I hope... I have your health to consider!

Personally I thought that despite a great start Spies quickly looked ragged and out of his depth. Dropped through the pack and only held onto the distant coat tails of the battle for fourth becuase the other three were actually racing over the position. He was given the opportunity, at least twice, to use De Puniet to draft up but couldn't do it. How this translates to a possible race winner completely bewilders me... but I suppose even more people could fall off.

The loss of Rossi must completely change the mindset of the other pretenders to the throne. Lorenzo's got everything to lose, Pedroza's got his best ever opportunity and a bike that's coming to him... and Stoner's going to be in turmoil over his poor start to the season. Interesting times.

The way I see it is...Spies is only gonna get faster. It's odd that you don't rate him. A lot of people in the know certainly do.

Bloody good of you to be looking out for my health though...but yeah...I still think Spies will do the bizzo at Laguna.

What I think will be really interesting this year is who goes where at seasons end. 2011 will be great, with new combinations hopefully everywhere.
