GB400 help/advice needed

Hi all, ive just bought a cheap butchered GB400 and im after a worshop manual and someone who knows these bikes to have a looksee at it. The motor is black and i though the GBs were plain silver alloy which makes me suspect its had an XR/XL transplant or been painted? im in west auckland and are really after all help
/advice i can get, cheers

Do the engine numbers match? Likely a transplant.
