I've had this on the back of my GT250 for a few months now and thought I should post some pics.
Main reason for this was that with the bag on the back of the bike, the brake light can obscured slightly.

First up, the LED light was purchased from www.autolumination.com (http://www.autolumination.com) (prob the worst designed website in the world, but the service and prices are good) cost was around NZ$20 inc shipping.

Light is connected with a standard mono audio connector wired into the brake light (6.35mm cost around $4 for the set)
This allows the bag to be removed and connected quickly :)

Overall the system works very well, and must be doing the trick as no one has driven into the back of me yet :)

p.s picked this little beastie up for $57 (good old $1res trade me) last week

bag looks good with that light there now no one can say they didn't see your brake light. I had that can on my watch list but was at work when auction finished and missed end of auction by 15 minutes. good score though.

Don't you have a cap for that female jack to prevent water going in when it rains?

I have :)
it's a standard 6.35mm plug filled with silicone. if I'm leaving the bike out in the rain I plug that in.
