I'm not too sure about my WOF placement on my bike.

At the moment, it's behind my numberplate and isn't easily visible.

MY WOF:
209864209862

Friend's WOF placement:
209863209860209861

Wondering how much it would cost to remove the WOF/REGO on my bike to where my friend's is because I think it's a much easier solution and would remove any doubts as to the legality of my WOF ...

Should be perfectly fine, but I've had lazy wardens write me a ticket for failing to display, for that exact location.

An email with pictures, calling the warden incompetent (could be seen from the rear, and you had to look at the plate to record my details anyway) and wanting answers got them back peddling. Make sure a little bit of it can be seen from the rear.

Okeydoke, so I should probably have a bit of it visible if someone's looking at the plate? Thanks.

On my old bandit, my WOF was under the seat (had to remove it to see it) and Rego behind the number plate...

On my CBR, my WOF is behind the plate and rego tag is inside my tool box under the rear seat cowl :)

(not a single ticket yet, but i park in private carpark at work...i hardly ever leave it on a street)

My WOF is attached in a holder between the left (under seat) muffler and the rear guard - it is visible if you care to crouch and look under the guard. Probably get a ticket if parked up and a warden walks past, but two officers have looked at it in a 'document inspection' and not commented.

I believe the wording for WOF & rego is 'clearly visible'.

Currently both wof and rego for me are stuck to my swingarm. and it works fine and easily visible.

but then my singarm is visible. so it may or may not make it worse for you.
but the second set of pics looks good!

Only time I park it on a street is when I'm at the bike shop buying something.

+1. I'll sometimes carry my reg on me. Never had an issue with the po-po, but I've found that if you are straight up with them they have no need to ping you for the small stuff. And I never leave my bike parked in the street, unless visiting a bike shop.

mine stick out from under my plate - so that they are easily visible - I park all over the place and have found from past experience that you can't dispute a "failing to display" ticket.
(or should I say that I wasn't able to get out of it)

yeah the offence is failiure to display, not failure to possess. though my wof is in the same spot as the OPs, and when i got pulled over the other day by an absolute cunt of a bike cop he made no mention of where it was sitting when he checked it was current.

hellokitty, I have disputed a failure to display no problem. wof was displayed, warden was too lazy to see it. Told the council he/she was clearly incompetent and was wasting my time and theirs.

In the old days bike warrants used to be stuck under the seat......Never thought about parking as my warrant is still under the seat. Prick who gave me the ticket for speeding a couple of weekends ago could see the rego on the swingarm but never asked about warrant.

Aaaah.....the joys of W.A. - no warrants, and this year, they did away with rego stickers - reckon the popo can check on their computers.....
