I have a red & black Speedtriple SE and have had some electrical problems with it. I have fitted a radar detector and a stebel airhorn in the last few months.

About a month after I fitted them, my horn, indicators and brake light stopped working. When I took the switch off the bars thay all started working again. After doing this three times now they didn't work at all, even when I took the switch off the bars.

Took it to the bike shop (dealer) and they couldn't find anything. They suggested that it might be a broken earth wire and will have to pull the bike to bits to find it.

Apparently it is a faulty ignition and it has been accepted as a warranty claim. Not only that, but Triumph must be getting really budget with their costs because the cabling was that tight that some of the other wires are starting to break. Mechanic is going to re-route the cabling when the new ignition arrives so I can turn the bars! While indicators etc not going, if you turned the bars to the right they went - turn to the left they stopped!

At least it has indicators, etc again! Even have a wof and rego!

Has anyone else had the same problems?

The fact that the wiring was THAT tight is a bad sign. Hopefully it was a one off mistake by Triumph.

Apparently not. Have been doing some research online and it looks like it is a fairly common problem.

You would think that Triumph would of got it sorted after the first few warranty claims started coming in.
