who uses traction pads on their tank?
under hard braking on track i often found my legs sliding forwards on the tank despite gripping the tank with me knees real hard. considering the stompgrip traction pads.
what do you lot reckon?

Guess how fast you want them... that two wouldn't be much in it, a fews days longer.

I had a bad experience with stomp grips... just wouldn't stick to my tank. Four washes prior to application, followed by a clean with isopropyl alcohol, and pads/tank surface heated. Still weren't having a bar of it. I wonder if perhaps I got old stock, but I'll never know.
Ended up ordering some Tech Spec Gripsters from Australia. Not quite as aggressive as stomp grips, but still plenty sufficient. Makes an amazing difference to riding in all circumstances, I couldn't live without them.

Now you saying that.... I do remember a recall because of that problem not sticking etc, they stopped selling in the US, think now this is a new batch?? well should be because I remember on ebay no one was selling them at all for months.

I found they made riding much more comfortable, not faster (though that's just cos I'm slow) but I felt far more comfortable under brakes and in corners once I'd installed my stomp grip.

I wouldn't, the cut to fit stomp grip pads have these nice rounded edges (like they've been moulded to the shape rather than cut) which makes them fit really well. The rounded edge means there's no squared off cut edge to catch on or pick up polish residue or whatever.

I had them on my 750, and I fully rate them as well. I got a univerisal kit and cut them to shape, worked fine although as pointed out they then have a edge to pick up on. My only advice would be, be careful riding in jeans with them. Went over a judder bar at 30km/h'ish one day with my legs just lightly pushed against the tank. The pain on my thighs was certainly eye opening.
