Evening all

I'm looking for some tips/advice on a good place to get a cut and polish done on the boot of my car (06 Accord). It has got some scratches on it from being backed under a low hanging tree some time ago and I would like to get it looking all good when I go to dispose of it in a couple of months.

I'm In Papakura but can travel for a good place (cos its, y know, a car)

In return I can offer some good advice of my own, to wit:

Resist the urge to wear a half helmet along the motorway on a rainy day like today.

Not only does the rain bloody sting, which it does, but the stinging drops hitting right next to the eyeballs brings about a reflex to shut your eyes.

Which is bad.

I can report that a cruiser plunging along the motorway in the rain at 100k (dropping rapidly) whilst being ridden by a bloke in black and vests shouting "open your bloody eyes!!" gets a VERY LARGE amount of room all to itself

I am hoping to get some advice from other people about panelbeaters they have used first. It can be a bit of a crap shoot

MJ Breen in Papa2xtoes do all our co. vehicles.
Jobs always a goodun.
Don't know the pricing, i just prang them and drop them off.

Used to use Greenpark Panelbeaters in Penrose when I was in a different industry and working locally to them.
Great workmanship, but pricey.

If they just some gentle scratches, why not do it yourself. I bought some stuff from Repco as my Accord had some minor scratches, also on boot, from heavy boxes placed on boot, then slid across it (aarrgghhh) - it cut them out completely. Was most impressed. Can go and look in garage if you want then name of the product.

Worth a shot - thanks. If you can get the name of the product I might have a crack tomorrow.

out to the dark dungeon that calls itself my garage - Re-po Car Care Paint Doctor - removes scuffs and scratches. and it works and doesnt leave any funny discoloration etc. Was about $20 for a tube.

Be a little careful doing it yerself....if you fark it up it can be very difficult/expensive to fix. I'd recommend Elite car Valet in Manukau ph 263 7933. Most of the places around here use them.
