Arrive at track Saturday to find im first up in f2 and the track looked wet so was feeling pretty nervous about things.
Chuck the wets on and go out for a splash. The bike felt pretty good so I just kept cranking it up.
Could see I was catching darren and managed to get past him.
When I pulled in I told my manager (jimmy) the bike feels unstable mid turn. Check the qualifying times and im on pole with a 2.10 some thing (faster than I rode the SRAD in the dry), 3 seconds faster than darren.
I was jumping for the moon.

F2 race 1
Got an average start and jamie came past in turn 1 tried to peg on to him but could not quite match his pace so settled in to a groove and held 2nd for most of the race. I guess I got complacent and travis out breaked me in to the second right hander on the extension so third it was to be.
Pretty happy with that and a new pb of 1.59.

F1 race 1
15th on the grid as only did 3 practice laps jmmy had some changes to the rear of the bike and it felt better. Got a poor start and managed to pick of a few places and finish 9th but with a best lap of 2.03.
4 seconds slower but bike felt good.

Sunday.

F2 race
Very wet track and I was looking forward to it as I had done really well in qualifying.
Got an ok start but the helmet I was wearing started to fog up and the bike had zero grip and was sliding all over the place on the extension.
No vision and no grip = DNF thought it better to pull in than fall off.

F1 race

Another change to the rear and some new special cambered racing tyres was told just do warm up lap almost about to pull in and I thought in true angry barry fasion “ AH FUCK IT” ill grid up.
Got an average strat but managed to pick off places and finished 9th.

F2 race
On the dummy grid and the rain starts coming. Get a wicked start and was feeling really good untill the rain got heavyer and with a tinted screen I could not tell the difference between grass and tarmac.
And could not see 25 meters infront of me. FUCK DNF AGAIN!!!.

That was it threw my toys out of the cott and called it a day.

All in all an average week end but we learnt a lot about the set up and that I need a new set of wets.
A big thanks must go to the Vic club for another awesome event, well done.
Jimmy you are a star thanks for your help and pep talks I learnt more in 2 days than I have in 2 years racing.
Drew well you know your always needed at the track for some comedy.
Deano for arranging stuff and just for being you, your awesome mate.
Every body else that was there to cheer me on and offer words of encourigment.
Cheers guys see you at round 3. Bring on the sun shine!

In the first F2 race i was doing all i could to keep up with you and Travis, i think once you sort out your suspension and the fogging problem your gunna be a real contender for top 3 finish in the class Luke. Always good talking to you and its a mature man that can pull in off the track rather than risk biffing it. Its a long series so dont sweat it mate, good luck for the next round ;)

All good Luke. Not the results you wanted but definitely some good signs! Once it all comes together you'll be kicking arse big style!
