Apparently it is one of the most successful aged 60+'s plus nudist resorts in the south pacific.

I went two years ago and stayed at Coconuts Resort.

After 5 days of sitting on the beach and snorkeling I was done. There isn't a hell of a lot to do as the place is still developing as a tourist destination. I would recommend a guided tour of the east or west coasts - give Apia a miss - nothing there of interest.

Mmmm, 'Coconuts'. We stayed there 3 years ago this week. Brilliant. And yeah, Apia, Ok to walk around for an hour or two and loved looking through the market but I wouldn't want to stay in the city for more than a day.

Aggie Grays looked great but there's no way we'd stay there because of all the little kids screaming around. You'll love it KG with the little 'uns but for us, it's back to 'Coconuts' or a similar 'No Children' resort.

Hint for survival in Samoa ... don't move too fast. The locals walk slowly for a reason. Oh, and it makes the day last longer too somehow. Also, keep hydrated. I recommend the 'Vailima' beer.

Hey I've been there a couple of times on business, impressive little place. I went off season and had the whole place to myself. Its nicely done, friendly atmosphere. Hot as. I didn't much like the foodage as theres no pie n chips. Everythings done on 'island time' which means 'perhaps but then again perhaps not'. This makes for an easy going resort. Its much nicer than the Aggie Greys in the town. Don't, whatever you do, drink the water. Dont even have the ice in yer drinks cos you WILL get bad guts:puke: get bottled water or the Vailima. Top quiet resorty place though.

being serious now.Im taking my lot away "somewhere" for a few days in september. I'd be keen to hear your impressions of the place KG.
I want to go to surfers for some fun at the parks and kart tracks with the kids. Missus wants a nice relaxing cruise.
I suggested she takes her f%%%% cruise and Ill go to Philip island with the kids but she wasn't open to that idea much.

I've never stayed at Aggie's Beach resort, but I have stayed at Aggies in Apia a number of times. Assuming the same level of service at the two establishments I'd say you'll love it. The Beach Resort is close to the airport, but 40- 45 minutes drive to apia. Expect 60 - 80 tala (NZ$40) each way by taxi if you don't have a rental car, or you can try a real adventure and go by bus.

How long are you there for? The most scenic part of Samoa is Savaii, and if you have time spend a night or two at Manasse, either Tanu Beach resort or Stevensons, to get a taste of Samoan life.

Snap. We stayed at Stevensons at Manase for 3 or 4 nights. Nice place if a little primative compared to the resorts. Great getting a taste of village life.
