whats the deal using Gull 98 fuel in older bikes, in my case '81 GS 550? Any problems? Cheers Matt.

I don't know about "older" bikes, but my Shiver doesn't much care for Gull's "biofuel". The wee Italian much prefers 95 or normal 98.

Check their website pretty good info, but my old gsx750 '86 ran ok on 91,95 or 98,just made the wallet lighter, never tried Gull.

Its not the 98 bit, its the 5% ethanol in it. Causes problems on older biles especially those with crabs

go for 91, they don't need 98. Comm isn't at all high. Spend the money on tyres.

my bike and both my cars hate gulls fuel! Maybe just bad luck or I too tight to buy some quality machines that can use this green fuel?

BP 98 makes a bit of a difference to the bike but overall, in bang for buck.. it runs most econmically on 95/96
