Howdy folks,
Ive been lurking on around the forums for a while now soaking up all the knowledge I can. KB really is awesome when your a newbie. A great group of people with a wealth of knowledge to share.
Its a late start to motorcycling for me at 35 but I'm now obsessed.
I recently purchased my first bike after many months of searching and she's a beaut, at least she will be once I finish repairing the damage done by the previous owner who put her down in some rain while dodging an inattentive cage operator. Its a 1991 Honda GB250. I love the old school look and figure I cant go wrong with a single cylinder Honda. The damage is cosmetic only and I'll be dropping her in at Honda in Hamilton next week for all the necessary repairs, new tyres and a service.
So far Ive only had farm-bike experience, in fact the basic handling skills test last week was my
first ride on a road bike with a sealed surface and a helmet on. Took the new bike for a few laps up and down the gravel tanker track and Ive not been able to wipe the smile off my face.
I passed the written test this morning and so I'm chomping at the bit to get out and ride on the road.
Stand by for questions once I finally start riding
