Has anyone got a bucket they would want to rent out? I don't really want to fully invest in a bike at the moment but wouldn't mind paying $50-60 for a bike to use on a weekend at Mt Wellington.
My unplanned return to the track on Saturday has got me hooked again and I'll feel bad if i steal all of Hannes track time - I already made her angry on Saturday!

Of course it'd be on a break it - fix it arrangement.

Mate I have got a CB125(150)-t sitting in the shed. More than welcome to use it while I am not.

Not sure what sort of work it needs to get her going. Let me know and can pull her out over the next week and have a look.

Interesting topic really, was discussing the idea of rental buckets the other day after reading about the rent a CBR150 racer story.
You can rent a CBR150 for $500 per meeting, thats more than you would expect to pay for a bucket, but hell it is a bucket !!

To buy a bucket say a FXR150 and prepare it to race costs maybe $2000, if youcould rent that bike for $125 per meeting you could do 16 meeting for the price, thats 2 seasons in some places , no up front investment, maybe a good way to get people into the sport after their first free ride.

What do you lot think? A bit too business like? Great idea? Look at skydiving, first few jumps cost heaps then prices settle down if you buy gear , or you can hire.

I've still got my ratbike CB125 single for sale. You are more than welcome to use that on a bin it fix it basis if you get stuck. It'll be at the track anyway, might as well be going round in circles.

You could also give John Connor a ring to see if you can get a day on the club FXR.

I have a couple of friends interested in giving it a go that will likely get involved properly in the long run - I'll be in touch closer to the next practice day to suss out trying to get them out there on bikes. None of us are in a position to be buying bikes at the moment, but the option of renting/hiring a bike for a day/weekend is quite appealing, I'll let them know.
