New project idea.
He has emailed me what needs doing:
"Must-do:
- Fix kickstart by grinding casing so that kick start mechanism lines up properly with kick start level. At the moment it is just out and it slips.
-Tune carb to run with the 100cc engine. I thought I had the correct main jet size but this may need to be changed. Currently running with No air filter, so either keep this or get some pod filter foam.
Optional:
- Get battery and reattach to electrics
- Get a split throttle cable or jimmy something up to use the oil pump. Bike is currently set up to run premix. But has the ability to run with the oil pump.
- Re attach attach some plastic fairings and wing mirror.
- Mount new rear brake shoes (I have these already)
That is all I can think of at the moment. Only other thing to mention is that the speedo doesnt go cos there were no where to attach it to when I put the new front suspension and wheel in. This also means the odometer has read 6674km for about 2 years... haha."
So taking into account that I am a relatively novice mechanic, is it a good idea to take this project on? are these jobs relatively easy to do?
