These things handle like a dream.
If you can ride, there won't be much that can touch you in the tight stuff. Long straights, they'll pass you after 260kmh :) You want comfort, pillion friendly and 11 litres of overnight storage under the seat, this is your bike.

At AFC in Palmerston North there is a FZ1 Fazer 2006 done approx 28000km mint cond near brand new Pilot powers for $9500, it's the bike I had before I bought the ZX14, if I had the cash to i'd buy it back for a second bike in a heart beat. It's got an Arrow muffler on it and the sound makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, I wish the 14 sounded that good!

It looks fine mate, it's beautifully built and sounds farkin' great, very world superbikes...
The '06 bike had an issue with a "getting back on the gas" hesitation, I pretty much solved this by installing an "Ivan's performance product's" fuel cut eliminator or FCE for short, smoothed it up no end. If the can bothers you check out the original, while it's not the worst looking original can i've seen (I think that honor belongs either the latest 'Busa or Gixxer thou) it's hardly pretty, the Arrow is a huge improvement in every way, trust me.

Is big decision, cracker. Don't let money in ya hand affect choice. Decide on your basic requirements in a bike, your long term plans re any road trips & how long do you want to keep the new bike etc.
Sounds like you're morfing in your riding style approach.
I'd think that you would be better suited to buying one bike for you & any pillion as a road bike. Then another machine to do up for track days, which will better suit your current riding style. You get to enjoy both areas of play :)
Is winter (Oh that's right, you norfies don't know what winter is ;) ) so, you have time to take your time.

Get off the grass! that's fark all k's man... most of the bikes you've have similar k's anyway but hey, it was only a suggestion. I liked it coz it has some sporting ability, a smooth motor, looks good sounds good etc.. But if i'm being completely honest to make it a truly top notch bike suspension work and rear sets would be on the shopping list and maybe get the fueling perfect with a PC III or some such thing and I would have minded giving a Sargent seat (from the States) a crack to to improve seat comfort.

Fuck, I did when I saw the videos.
Trouble is with videos, they appear to slow things down considerably because of frame rates. You set up a GSX1400 properly, even with standard shocks and believe me, they are amazing in the tight stuff considering the weight and size. Side to side transitions are very quick for such a large bike. I've never had trouble keeping up with anyone in the past on rides like the Coro loop. But have your laugh, no doubt you ride better than anyone else on here? :)

It wasn't the riding that made me laugh.

Well, if you'd like to come and have a look at mine, you're more than welcome. I go to see my surgeon tomorrow morning to see if I am to have the spinal op. The problem has worsened due to now discovering I have Osteo from the Cushing's disease I've been having treatment for since late '07 and if I have the op he says it'll be a major one.
All things considered, if I ever do get strong enough to ride again, it's going to be a very long time and sadly, I was intending to keep the Boulevard for ever as it really is the best bike for anything I could ever want to do. I've impressed many riders of much bigger bikes with its performance, from Harley's including the 1600's to 1200S Bandit's and GSX1400's. The GSX1400 rider asked if it was actually a thou and when I said it was just the 805, he asked if I'd worked it!
It can fly when you want it to, but it's also a great commuter and averages 60mpg. Even fully loaded with both of us and full saddle-bags plus backpack, it gets around 58mpg.
So I am reluctantly advertising if on TM and would like it to go to someone who'll take care of it as I have.

Well i made it , rain , sleet , rain , rain , oh did i mention farken rain , and wind .... Arrived in wellington Wicked blue skys sunny woohoo ..
Meet the guy who i brought the bike from and thought fark he looks familiar .. i was rite once we walked towards his car and seen it was the black thunder ,zm road runner. New hot guy ! LOL .. with grant and polly on the morning show. So any how takes me back to the zm station i much with the goodies box and filled up my tank bag .. woot woot ..
Collect the bike ride out onto the wgtn motorway give it a slight tickle .. Oh my im sure motorist could see my grin out both sides of my helmet .. and well head home .. Get as far as sanson and Brrrr time to stop and chuck thermals on ..
bike is so different to the gxxr BUT saying that its def got a wow factor. SO smooth under power .. stable in cornners when ya dial it on its there but the power comander makes it Mellow power delivery so even in the wet and snow i felt perfectly safe asking of the bikes abilitys .. had one little ass kick out in the snow grit but the slightly extra weight and lenght , with the added ohlins of the zx corrected itself and it was over before i realised it had happened.
Seems bloody awsome on fuel .. not eaxacly sure of the kms between stops .. just no i rode from wgtn - whg .. stoped , sanson , taupo , bombays. grand total of $71.30 in fuel .. 894 kms is that good ? I only know i would have had to make least another 2 stops on the gxxr as its was aggresive power all the time dident liek to just mellow at say 110kmph had to always be on the pipe to get its real performance .
Will add sum pics soon as the rain stops ..
Ps. guy chucked in a brand new chill out expandable Rear pack .. 2x, rear racks , and grab rail , New chill out tank bag , new gaerne (aqua tec) boots size 46 *11* and new Pants. as im such a cool kunt ! ..
will offer boots forsale soon ! as to small for me im a 47. will keep racks and pants. boots where $330 New have the recipt from him will ask my mates for $200 if no bites will kb ad them .. or keep em, never no i may find a ladie friend .....
He also had the bike fully *gold service* and chucked new race tec feet on it .. all after i had pay the purchase price .. Will def deal with this guy again in the future .. and Motorad bike shop wgtn .. AWSOME work keeping the bike in tip top condition .. even safety looped all the plugs and stuff .. as you will see by pics .
all i can say is im very impressed with the zx10r all round bike cant wait for alittle dry weather to go see how she plays int hw twisties.

distance wasen't really a factor on this steed ! .. breezed along with no effort .. was me pulling on the reins to slow her up .. rather comfoy but saying that different riding , seating position so was alittle saddle sore at the wellsford mark. But gotta rember i have come off a Full TOuring gel seat and even that would have its distance limits.
arrow cans ..MMMMMMM yum ! .. sound so throaty .. got a real mean sound on tune .. and just look the part .. Fire breathing Dragon !
new hot guy .. from zm got a recording of it .. hope i can try score it from him ! ..
