Sounds like the same little f***ers from the last thread. Last time I was redaing they stole Natalief`s gear, possibly now using that to look like genuine riders. Wonder if Natalief has a photo of his gear he can post, maybe someone will read this, have someone turn up for a "test ride" in stolen gear and be able to knock ten tons of shite outta these theiving c**ts!!

Argh - those fuckwits! Surely TradeMe should be sending out a warning email to all sellers or something. Fuck that makes me angry!

As Mully says;

For fucks sake dont give a complete stranger the keys to your pride and joy and sit there wondering when they are going to come back!!!!!! :weird:

In the insurances eyes you have just given them your bike :bash:

The only thing I will hold as security is cold hard cash or a bank certified cheque.

Make sure you take a photograph of anyone wanting to take your bike for a blat. Full face shot and make it clear what it is to be used for.
Photograph any other mates that he/she may bring along.
This AND photo ID. Make a copy of that at the same time.

I have no sympathy for these people who had their shit jacked this way. As the seller, you stand to lose most. It's your job to be vigilant, especially in this day and age.

Maybe you shouldn't hand your keys over to a complete stranger and let him ride away on your bike without holding something that you can verify is his as insurance. Jesus.

A sucker is born every minute.

TradeMe should be sending out a warning email to all sellers or something. We've been "putting out a warning email" to KB members for months, and wankers just shout us down and call us cunts. Perhaps now they will start to get it.

Don't let people ride your bike without you holding the cash.

It's not rocket science.

How did they steal a new ute? They need to get the coded key to start it.

It's not unheard of for house burgs to pinch any handy keys which are lying around. And any handy vehicles.

In fact, I know someone who had their trailer loaded up with their own stuff and taken away.

Sorry but I disagree with those people blaming the seller for their loss. I thank you for your attempt at being trusting and changing the culture of mistrust we live in. Its fucking horrible that these assholes have ripped you off, and I'm sure thanks to them you wont be trusting anyone in the near future. I was allowed to test ride my bike before I bought it, with no 'insurance'. YES, it's only worth a couple of grand, but I wasn't going to buy it without test riding it, and I don't want to walk around with a couple of thou in my pocket either - the sellers put themselves at risk, I was honourable and reliable. This sort of event increases people's feeling of goodwill about the community/place they live in. Sort of like hitch-hiking. Both people put themselves at risk, but the experience of a good ride or good hitcher is worth it. Never been let down personally. Be smart yes, but not paranoid.

Bottom line - the fuckwits who stole your bike are the sole people at blame in this incident. They ALONE carry the burden for being assholes and making the choice to steal from you.

Time for a set up I think. Install a tracker on a late model sportsbike, advertise it for sale. Wait for scumbag to come 'test ride' it. Wait for an hour. Get 5 mates. With baseball bats. Go to GPS location of the bike. Smash 'em bro!
