So, you're saying never ask to borrow his helmet or gear then huh :)

We went to an enduro once, and someone had left the lining of his helmet at home, so had to borrow my helmet for the day (worked out well, as I was jet-lagged and the skies were in the process of reclaiming land, so I'd have had no fun anyways).

Absolutely, I have just started my uni holidays so I am getting the bucket well sorted! New carb on it, two new rear sets, new clip ons, and I need to do the exact same engine upgrade that Andrew A has done so I was hoping to talk to both of you tomorrow about doing that as soon as possible.

I will give you your rearset back tomorrow

What a mint day!!!! Couldn't have asked for better weather, stoked!
Had a fun day on my Rangi, enjoyed my first ride on slicks in the dry!
Hope everyone else got some joy from the day. There was some very quick, ferocious and tight racing going on out there, glad I wasn't involved!
Thanks Dave for the BBQ and beers, hope you've had a wicked birthday buddy! :)

Hey guys, was a good day. Glad there were so few crashes. Some really tight racing and a good drink and eats session at the end of the day. Thanks again to Fish for showing us how it's done, it's been a while. Was awesome to see Andrew A going quite quick again but also obvious that you were holding back a little. As usual you were fast again Richard, you used to complain about being a "spazz" in the left handers but didn't look that way at all today (btw I was supposed to remember to give you back that rear set you have lent me!). Good to see Bayden out there too, even though your bike was pissing oil at the start of the day and sounded horrible hahaha. I promise to go faster at the next round, I am just a big baby when it comes to racing at Slipway. So slippery and I'm scared I will scratch my shiny bucket up (bahaha). Well done to all B grade too! You guys are getting faster and faster! Love watching your races!

Happy birthday Dave, and cheers Nigel for the organising etc!

Yes the boys and I enjoyed the day out. I was pleased with my performance considering my brakage from the Slipway 8 weeks ago. I thought I would try to give it up but not just yet. Pleased to see no real crashes and everyone fairly happy.
Was good to give Richard a hard time about his cut the track on the moving chikane (Bayden). He took it well. Good on ya Rich. Nice vid also.

That was a much better day with the Sunshine out.
Pity my best race was the first practice, crashing in both the points races. I did enjoy the restarted race 1, I was angry with myself for crashing and rode really quick (for me), catching and passing a few people, just not able to get Skunk (good riding)

I really enjoyed watching the A grade racing. Fast, close and real competitive, awesome!

Sorry about the confusion with the points race 2, I thought the order had changed. A good learning for next time.

Mate that Rangi has some serious balls. Couldn't believe it wanted to flip itself on me! I didn't expect it to come up much at all so I sat sort of upright and when I clicked into second it just roared skyward! So impressed, fastest bucket I have ridden so far (infront of Glens which was also a friggin rocket!). Thanks again Trudi!

No worries guys, I get a kick out of watching other people ride him (how he should be ridden instead of my Sunday Cruising) and the stupid grin most have on their face when they come back! Sorry about not warning you about the iffy brakes and the way he trys to wheelie Hamish, I've got so used to it that I forget his little "quirks". Hopefully the new forks will improve some of that.

well only other option is that detonation (as that is 100% what caused the holes) was induced by low octane gas or a lean effect on both cylinders, - perhaps removing the airbox or some other radical tuning without rejetting.

Thats not a lubrication problem, simple logic suggest that oil isn't really needed on the dome of the piston.
