Tracey Moaners recent comments highlight again what a complete arse he is.
http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/161151/1/stoner_slams_yamahas_rossi_replacement_a_nobody.ht ml

As our grandmas used to say, "If you have nothing good to say, then say nothing".

I have a really good mate and an acquaitance who have both spent time with him in completely different settings and both said the same thing, that he is a complete arse.

No one is saying that he needs to be a saint, but fuck me, why doesn't he just shut the fuck up?

Nothing wrong IMHO...he makes some very valid points....Yamahas sponsers would have rather it be a someone...as do I suggest the fans.
Maybe he didn't portray his points as eloquently as he could have [perhaps the report took it out of context?] But the message is fine I believe.???

I have to agree with Poo's at least he had the balls to say that Moto GP in its current state is a joke considering Moto2 and 125's have massive grids and then the "Premier" class only has 15 it is pretty shocking really there should be 30 bikes on that grid if its the pinnicle of motorcycle racing in my opinion.

He should sign up to KB, this place would suit him well.

Seriously tho, he is probably right and good on him for not being a PC pussie

Yea, I guess he has a right to critisise in this case...... but I still think he does not have his feet on the ground when it comes to the costs of running a team, which is why I suggest, given the current financial situation in the world, why there is not more "premier class" bikes on the grid!

Given the financial turmoil in the world I think Caseys remarks are indicative that he is living in a bubble. That any major manufacturers are currently putting any bikes on the grid is a miracle. Especially Yamaha Motor Co , a company that has closed a number of factories and laid off thousands of workers and has come off worst of the big three by far.
In markets worldwide motorcycle sales are down massively, including here in NZ.
Caseys comments may yet come back to haunt him, as his career slowly declines ( as it eventually does for all racers ) the only rides that may be on offer may be from the manufacturers he has slagged, and Japanese companies especially dont take too kindly to such criticism.

He's just a young fella - give him another 30 years, when he's running his own team, with bikes with his own name on them....then ask him why he's not fielding 4 bikes on the grid.

I agree Dr Bob. Although he is somewhat correct (especially from his perspective), he obviously has no idea what is going on outside his own wee world, from a financial perspective specifically.

Perhaps Casey should be focusing on his own performances of late as he has be relatively average in comparison to previous seasons. He may well be a better fit at Honda.

If Mr Nobody gets ahead of Mr Stoner then its going to be very embarrassing - but unlikely.

He should come spend some time here challenging the 'Ageing' Mr Stroud at Hampton Downs

As our grandmas used to say, "If you have nothing good to say, then say nothing".

Yeah i'm kinda with you on this one. Yeah I see his point but he should just be happy they did'nt put Spies on Rossi's bike, there may well have been less points on offer to him on account of Spies would probably kick his arse if he were on a works bike...

And yes this is a half hearted shit stir...:shifty:

When you are top of the food chain you can say whatever you like. Nice work if you can get it.

As I said, one of my best mates has spent time with him on more than one occasion, a round of golf was one.
If he carried that attitude into my garage, and said about me what he said about Lucio Checcinello directly to my other acquaintance, I would have punched him out by now!!
hehehehehe
For once I think I would enjoy that.

So you would rather have a fashion model than someone who has been riding the actual bike on the Yamaha test track for many years.....

I always knew you likes the pretty ones.

I would be interested as to how his test track times compare to Wataru's.......seeing as one is the paid racer and the other is just the bike tester.......

Probably because he was more than likely asked a question mate. Generally...if someone asks you a question...ummm...I dunno...maybe like "What's your view on Yamaha's Rossi replacement, and GP racing in general?", you give them your answer. I'd far rather hear what the guy really thinks than some sugar coated load of shit.

So what do you think the outcome would be if Stoner hopped on, oh say Craigs Honda, and entered the TT at Hampton downs? Will our boys just look silly?

I don't understand why companies don't put last year's bikes out there like they used to.

Money. Sill boy - surely he only has to look at his own income to realize how much it costs to have multiple bikes out there - it's not like he pays for his own tyres and oil even!

Once he was used to the ride - yea I would imagine so. Lets face it - all the riders in Moto GP are fucken talented! Or even WSBK for that matter.

Sorry if this offends some........

Well no....frankly...if you've got it....you have got it!!! and there are riders out there that could step in and ride the tits off that bike because they can ride...their test rider obviously can not...other wise he would already be there!!

There are other...much better riders...

Problem is those other MUCH MUCH better riders are generally riding already. They are in the midst of some competition or another, have obligations to their teams, their sponsors and can lose everything for a few rides (however many it's going to be, but Rossi is hoping to be back this year).

He's right about the amount of bikes on the grid, but that could be because MotoGP needs revamping, as it's slowly dying. It hasn't helped that Rossi is out, as for myself, he's the main reason I watch it. He's got the X factor, for me, that none of the other riders have. They try to emulate him, but they don't have it and their antics just annoy the crap out of me.

I can't see Moaner ever running his own team - a) who the hell would work with him and listen to him b) why would he spend his own money doing anything good for the sport c) fark, there must be at least one more reason, but can't think what at the moment

Good on Yamaha for being determined enough to keep both the Fiat bikes on the grid, even if the replacement is an old never was (he did win some title or race or something 14 years ago, stuffed if I can remember what). It's also going to be good for him to test the bike in race conditions and make it better for whoever is on it next year.

Yamaha HAVE to have the bikes on the grid. It's called a contract.

And I can think of a rider that's both avail and no doubt MUCH better than the sap they're gonna use. Garry McCoy. Get some balls Yamaha.

So has Stoner. Was trying to give Us local boys a chance!

Was just amazed watching the last race how fast the top 6 - heck no, even down to Edwards are. The difference probably comes down to what's between their legs... I mean the metal bits. Is Stoners talent worth 1 sec / lap more round HD? 2?

Dunno where you get the 'Moaner' etc stuff from? It's just something you've borrowed from the other Stoner knockers and it doesn't even fit the context of Stoner's remarks.

FFS he was stating HIS opinion. He's entitiled to his opinion and he's got the gut's to say it. And not while hiding behind a user name on a KB Forum.

While I don't agree with alkl of the comments attributed to Stoner, his main point is well illustrated by these Poll times from Catalunya.
