I got a pair of Yoshi R22 slip ons on my 'Busa, and running them with the inserts installed. All good but I think it's maybe a bit quiet . I've run the Bike withe inserts removed and that makes the bike a lot louder ( and I've read adds an extra pony or two :shifty:) but; on a longer ride the noise turns into a drone, too loud and , thats why the baffles are back in.
Someone told me the trick is to take them out and cut 'em in half and you get the best of both worlds ......although...
The inserts are around 20 - 30 cms long but have a taper toward the southern end, I guess to fit the shape of the inner exhaust ?
Anyone been there and done that ?

it kinda makes sense...try it....they wouldn't be hard to lenghten again if you do a clean straight cut

So - did you take a hack-saw to them?
I believe the reduced end is to further reduce the sound to enable them to be globally 'legal'.
Start by removing the length of smaller tube - you'll still have 2/3 of the insert pipe and it will have a larger overall diameter thus a bit more bark.
As above if you don't like you can always spot weld the smaller part back on.
