Thought I'd say hello here.

Been lurking around the forum for many years but being the quiet type did not register until today. It may take a few more years for my next post though.

Been riding many years (read a couple of decades) - took a short break - and back on it the last 3 odd years. What fun.

See you around.

Katiepie,

Thanks.

I noticed you're riding an M50. As I am getting older I'm considering changing my riding style - any opinions on the M50?

Oh yes plenty of opinions on the M50 and all of the good (well, 99%). Its a very very smooth ride. Plenty of pep, and a gorgeous low rumble with even the standard pipes. A good weight that really settles into the corners nicely, and you feel very solid on the road. The handle bars are not too high up, making for a comfortable cruise without the sore arms. It is happy to glide at a sensible pace, or keep up with the big kids.

I simply love it - absolutely love it. Can't wait to take it up to Auckland soon from Welly, and back. My only qualms are for me, its HEAVY and parking it its my downfall. The weight shifts, and my legs cant catch it. But i am stupidly small so I'm sure this is no issue for anyone else. And of course, doesn't take much to scrape the pegs on a corner. A gentle lean and you have touch down. But that is the joys of a cruiser :) Weeeee :scooter:
