My 2001 R6 rear hugger has broken near the left-hand-side bolt. I guess the original Yamaha part will be $125+, so I figure a plastics welder is the person to talk to. It's a straight-forward ABS plastic weld.

Does anyone know a good plastic welder in the Auckland area?

I have used these guys many times. Well priced and do a good job:

Reflections have a good name, but (I believe) are a bit pricier, but they can paint it for you and the like:

Agree with p.dath - Reflections are excellent I have used him in the past on my ZZR1100 and he has done a top job and matched the paint exactly, in fact so well I got him to paint the whole bike for me. Would be happy to recommend him to anyone

Anyhoo... Thanks for the responses. Before I went on holiday for a week and before anyone replied, I dropped my hugger off at "Anything Plastic" at 6B Newark Place in East Tamaki. They did a good solid repair for $35 plus GST. I maye use them again.

I hate to think how much a new original Yamaha hugger would have been (probably over $140).
