FINALLY got on the new bike for the first time yesterday afternoon. Been 8 weeks since me bin so I was gagging for a spin.

Must admit, like the bike. It’s much bigger than the VL250 I had (RIP Dave) and certainly felt a lot more stable on the road especially when a few high winds blew up. Gears are a lot smoother but it does lack the grunt of the mark that the VL had. Mind you, I am a fat (ter) bastard so that must have something to do with it.

The left hand started to seize up after about half an hour even though the clutch was smooth, but that’s the hand with the fractured and dislocated ring finger which still needs a bit more time to come 100% right so big rides will have to wait a couple of weeks.

Still, fecking stoked to be back on 2 wheels officially. I’ll try not to break this one. Mind you, it is a bigger bike so if I see that bitch that ran into me on the road I’ll ride over the top of her….

Good to hear! Orewa shouldn't be too far to ride... :innocent: I've put my rego on hold as it's going to be months before I can think about riding again, then only if the Osteporosis is better, too.

Can you play the guitar again yet?
