I see there are no two strokes this year and they have introduced Superbike, Supersport & Superstock. Should be good. :niceone:

Tried to get there this year but things just didn't work out as planned. Should be there in 2006 as I fear this event isn't going to be on the calender for that much longer. If I'm proved wrong, then ain't that all good for all of us!
TS, you planning on racing in 2007?

Hey thanks Juan.
He's an ex Hamilton boy, I bought a few bikes off a shop he used to work in and have been over there with him a couple of times. Friends of mine (also ex Hamilton now London) pit for him each year.
His other half works at the Triumph factory.
No problem, will try and get some more pics of all Kiwis in the TT.....
Rain stopping play at the moment..... bummer

Is there any more news on the threat of introducing speed limits all over the Island?
(For info for anyone else reading this, there are speed limits in the towns, but out on the open road, you can crank things up. But there were proposals to introduce speed limits out on the mountain section - and these would be imposed during 'Mad Sunday' as well, which is a big reason for a lot of people going, the chance to ride the circuit at full chat, just like the racers do).
Personally, I think if 'Mad Sunday' is subjected to speed limits, it will pose a real threat to the future of the event. That said, there are a lot of people that go to the TT who probably never manage to WATCH a bike, let alone ride one there...
Another question: How much cheaper is it to come over for the Manx GP, rather than the TT itself? I've been told it is a lot cheaper - and the racing is still decent - but never had it confirmed.

We still have, for the time being, no limits, hoever for TT there are some temporary ones on the course, and to be honest as long as they take em away after I'm quite happy with this. Also this year for the first time a ban over here also has effect at home... that should slow the Wank**s down abit!!!
As for being cheaper to get over, try www.steam-packet.com The atmosphere is far more relaxed, the racing is abit slower, just as close most of the time www.iommgp.com

"The organizers of the Isle of Man TT Races, the Manx Motor Cycle Club Limited, regret to announce that a competitor was fatally injured in an incident during today's Senior TT. A race marshal also died in the same incident.
It happened on the second lap of the race at Kirk Michael. The rider who died was newcomer Gus (Ian) Scott from Kendal in Cumbria, a motor cycle journalist and road tester who had been entered in every solo event this week Mr. Scott (40) was a single man with a ten year old daughter.
The marshal who died was named as Mrs April Bolster from Kirk Michael. The Coroner of Inquests has been informed and investigations are continuing into the circumstances."
Is this the same Gus Scott, late Of Performance Bike magazine?

Yes, did my growing up there, started riding there when Paul worked for Murray Delacy. I still keep in touch with a few people from that group & era.
The family is still there & I still come up regularly.

Andrew Barry is back in Hamilton, I'm Lisa & now in Te Puke, Tracey Mac is still in Hamilton, I think Fred is too. Scobie was in Wellington last I heard. A friend of a friend mentioned Marcus's name on the weekend! Scary shit, bringing back all those memories. I see Mark every now & then but I haven't seen Little Mark in moons.
Eddie's not ringing any bells for me though...

I last caught up with Andy at the TT in '03 with Paul, not long after he did his wrist in. I met Tracey Mac a few times but didn't know her as such, Freddie knows me, Scobie I didn't really know but did see him in Wellington a few years ago. I haven't seen either Marcus or his brother in quite a while. I did buy a BMW off a workmate of his brother about 4 few years back. They were at the bike accessories wholesaler in Frankton, I can't remember the name of the place.
Last I heard of little Mark he was in AK but thats going back probably 5 years. It would be good to catch up to him. I took him down to the Brass Monkey on the back of a GSXR1100 one year.
Rachel Roberts moved to Sydney about a year ago, I hear from her every now and then.
Is that Mark Morgan you see? he sold his RC30 didn't he?

Is that Mark Morgan you see? he sold his RC30 didn't he?
Yup. I'm pretty sure he had a new bike last time I saw him (over a year ago, now that I think about it!) but for the life of me I can't remember what. He was in the army for years, but left awhile ago and was talking about getting into the Fire Service. I'm not sure that happened, though. Was still living in Hamilton last I saw him.

He was in the Army quite a while, I ran into him on a tube platform in London when he was on leave from somewhere or other once of all places.
