What does the law say about where you mount your rego and WOF?

I've seen them mounted on the swingarm and think that looks nice and tidy.
Currently mine is underneath my numberplate and it drive me crazy every time I spot it

Funnily enough I did do a search before I posted and found a lot of half assed conjecture

I'll repeat:
What does the law say about where you mount your rego and WOF?

Does anyone know the answer OR a link to where I can read for myself

Cheers

Tried some different search term in google and found this
http://www.roadcodepractice.co.nz/roadcode/motorcycle-road-code/about-your-vehicle/motorcycle-requirements.aspx

In addition to the warrant of fitness, a motorcycle must display a current licence label and a number plate on the back that can be clearly seen.
Emphasis is mine

Hope this is helpful to others

"You must display this label on the inside left-hand side of your vehicle's windscreen, or for trailers and motorcycles, on or near your number plate."

Its not a problem if you're on good terms with law enforcement...

Tidiest I've seen for rego is attached to the back of the plate with that double sided tape they give you at the post-shop. Seems to meet the requirements so long as it's visible on inspection. It's just the plate that must be seen from the rear not the rego.

I use the Std Rego metal bracket with the clear slidy thing, and have drilled a hole on the underrside of the plate and simply bolt it all up , looks good and the WOF thing sits alongside , all underneath, your Bike may be different though .....
