You Can Say It "What a Noob"
Ohhk me again :]
So my muffler on my MC19 is pretty well rooted I found a small hole in it a week ago, gave it a quick fix and thought nothing of it, till 2 days ago when I found another larger hole, then apon taking off the cover found the grand canyon, Now I have already been looking at after market mufflers ect and had desided apon one to suit a MC22, all is needed it a flange fabricated to suit which I am more than capible of fabricating, to save myself the hassle of accidently f**king it up I have got myself some resonibly tidy cheap second hand exhaust headers, just need a bit of a sand and some Por 15, But I have two main concerns, One) been if i remove my original stock headers will I need to replace the gaskets if so is there anyway of been able to use maybe gasket glue? or would it need to be the exact fitting gaskets. Two) Been I have looked up a fair bit about this and its recomended that the jets be replaced with ones to suit to stop the motor from been to lean, now ill be honest here and thats fairly Jibberish but it sounds hell costly, the motor has only 5,000km's on the clock, so im wanting to know, If i dont replace the jets and the motor does run lean A/ What is the probibility of it doing so? B/ What will happen If I dont replace them C/ How long would it take for any damage to take effect.
Any advice is welcome, Obviously im not a millionar so anything I can do myself without screwing up, id rather do myself without screwing up haha.

I think the header diameter is smaller for the mc22 than it is currently on the mc19. You should check this.

I would not worry about jets if the only thing you are swapping is the exhaust - provided you exchange like for like - a stock muffler for stock.

Also is the intake stock?

rejetting the carbs is easy/cheap to do, the trick is to get them balanced well afterward which you really need a good set of balancers and knowledge of how to make the engine run sweet.

yah its all stock pipe for stock pipe other than the flange ill be making myself but the muffler will be an aftermarket muffler, ill look into the rejetting ect, but lets say I dont need to worry about all that, if i remove the entire exhaust system will i have to replace the gaskets on theh eaders or would it be all good to use the same ones?
