I see Lg are the only smart phone running the Android op.
I was wondering if anyone has one of these and if so if you have upgraded it to Android 2.2 op as it comes with cupcake 1.5.
Does anyone know if it is possiable to upgrade them to 2.2?
Cheers,
Paul.

What about some of the HTC gear, the Desire and I think the Hero are available in Android flavour. Then there's a dirty rumor that Vodafone's bringing in the nexus later this year which is what I'm hanging out for :-) Also, Vodafone has the Sony Xperia X10 at the moment, with the latest version.
If you're interested, have a look on www.parallelimported.co.nz and have a look at what they've got in stock...

That desire is a nice phone I was going to buy it , but there is one I am not sure what its called , something something 4
no not iphone anyway is is better than the desire , and is made also by HTC
The Xperia is marketed by DoCoMo over here a bit angular for me
I searched net last night as I wanted to know how to upgrade ala as per Iphone style
but it seems the Vendors release the upgrades
THOUGH there is an open source group making their own ROMS which you can download and install ( similar to jail breaking an Iphone in a sense )
As soon as my contract is up its bye bye apple nice knowing u and thanks for the fish

I've been told by a reputable source not to go anywhere near LG phones. A couple of former owners of said phones have said not to bother as well.
But back to the cupcakes ....

No you can not upgrade the LG even to 2.1 best to stay away from it and the resistive touch screen not good. If you want android on xt wait till the Motorola milestone (droid in the states) comes out very soon $999 just so so so much better.

Nexus one is awesome and its always gonna get updates first there is very little wrong with it and it has HTC build quality so its gonna last. If you prefer the look of the HTC desire its much the same phone. Do you want the phone for xt or vodafone?

I'm with XT, I figured the Nexus 1 would be the way to go in regards to updates etc too. And I"m keen on having a go at designing my own app's with the SDK, I don't know alot about it so just trying to research it before spending the moola.
