Hey all,

Selling on behalf of a former collegue who happens to be an Australian (he's alright though).

Bought brand spanking new from Mt Eden in August 2008. Ridden here before he got transferred back to Australia, after which it just sat around.

WOF has expired as as rego. Will have a brand new WOF and some rego (once I check with him).

Pics will follow probably tomorrow. Black with red decals.

I have an '03 RS125 (same engine & chassis), these bikes are honestly the most fun you can have with your leathers on!!!
The new owner should PM me to find out how to de restrict the black box.

Do these qualify for "Street Stock" Racing?
I know Dan and Ben from MotoRad ran a pair of them at Wanganui last year, but i was too bust to see what class they ran them in.....

Agree, very capable little bike.
Loves to be ridden, and rewards a top rider well.
Handles about a million times better than a 2 cylinder 250 from Korea ;)

Street Stock Clarification

1 December 2009

The Aprillia RS 124 Road Bike is eligible for Competition in the Street Stock class, the tyre sizes for
this particular model shall be 110/17 Front and 150/6017 Rear.

Note it must be the standard road engine.

That should answer your question

When i bought mine they were rated as the third best handling production road bike, thats with the standard shock & tyres.
If you can handle the total head fuck caused by everything from faulty bits that warranty dosent covor, parts falling off, waiting three months for a wrong or broken part, they are big fun.

Oh mate it must be so hard to sell a bike like this at this time... Best of luck. I'm sure it's a fucking fantastic bike!

It's a fun bike to ride (on the couple of small rides I've had)

Were I contemplating racing, I'd be buying this myself. Even at the speed limit, it feels like it's flying.

I'd love to own another one...but at seven and a half grand it's a pretty big ask for the only real market here, which is learner, most of who wouldn't buy a smoker, and a racer.

So wish I had shipped mine from Japan. Only paid around two and a half for a very low K'd '04.

If you'd like to make an offer (within reason, Kiwifruit!!), I'm happy to take it to the owner. It's no hassle to fire an e-mail off if you want me to.

Price as stated includes new 12 month WOF (once I take it *cough*) and probably four months rego. If you want to take care of it yourself, feel free to throw a number up (by PM if you want) on an as-is-where-is basis.

EDIT: Already has a new battery (so new it's still in the box).....

Bike is now in the custody of Frosty for selling.

Mainly because I couldn't be arsed.

Shameless historical bump/dredge.

Having sat around not running and/or running like a pig, bike has been to Red Baron and had a tickle up.

It's now running like an appropriate simile for something running really well and is now up for the taking.

Present all offers - the trans-Tasman instruction is to "just sell it" - serious reasonable offers please apply.

Bike has a grand total of 1379km on it from new.

Will have a new 12 month WOF and three months reg upon sale (unless not required)

He'll take less than that - asked Red Baron if they wanted it, but they weren't keen.

The 'On Behalf Of' didn't appeal to them? Doesn't cost them anything to sit in the showroom, and for you it's getting seen a bit more than it is from inside yer garage.

If RB aren't interested, someone else local will be. It is interest free stock!
