Howdy all, new member, been riding for 3 or so years. Bikes owned have been Yamaha FZR250, Ducati 748, and currently a Honda CBR1000RR. Boyd Honda is my local, currently studying at Waikato Uni. Was introduced to the site by Bruce - GSXR1128 streetfighter. Usually spend most of my forum time on www.1000rr.net. KiwiBiker seems like a good place.
Hopefully catch up with some of you on the road.

Didn't have any problems with mine, performance seemed good, at around 100kg I wasn't a light load for it. I had a '91, red and white, it had around 30,000 kms on it, purchased it from Haldanes (fantastic intro to bikes, really good service from Chris  ), paid $2800 for it and traded it in for $2700, having a look at the prices on bikepoint they seem high, although while I had the FZR I put new tyres on it front and rear, new chain and sprockets, new air and fuel filter. One of the cool things about the FZR was that it has dual rotors on the front, afew of the 250's only have a single.
For my money thought, have a good look at Honda CBR250's (and CBR250RR's), the reason being that you'll be able to join up with the Honda Riders Club (visit the honda website and go to the club link), the benefits include cheaper insurance, track days at Taupo (and because it's a honda training day you are covered by your insurance on the track - the cost of the track day, around the $80 mark, also comes off next years insurance cost), on a side note the other weekend I received a couple of tickets for the honda tent (lunch and drinks included  ) at the endurance race at Pukekohe, because of being a member of the club :niceone: . Best of luck on your choice.
Cheers to all for the welcome :ride: .
