View Full Version : WTF is wrong with me?

In the last three days I've had more near misses than in all my life. Might I add that these were all unreservedly my fault. I can't seem to concentrate on the right things in traffic etc... For example I fixate on a car that looks like it might pull out and then I have to panic brake because the cars in front of me have stopped. I normally have no problem maintaining knife-edge concentration for hours and hours. I sleep enough, eat reasonably well etc... Any ideas? I think I'll stay off the bike for a few days...

You need to find your happy place again.
When you are in your bubble and the force is flowing through you immortality will be your pillion.
Re finding a happy place - reading detrius on KB is probably NOT the way...

I think it is catching........ I was riding like a fucktard today too
Then I pulled over and told myself to get over and get my shit together.
Maybe you have too much on your mind? Need to empty your mind and just focus on your riding......

Just been through this myself...I however just knew I didn't have the concentration to go anywhere near the bike...my scary poor concentration moments were in the cage - nothing involving anyone else but it was enough to make go hmmmm I ain't going near me bike!
Went for my first lil tootle the other day - brain was good but I definitely didn't have the (mental) stamina to go for a long one...was just nice to go out and enjoy the sun and NOT feel like I was risking my life with it!
Hope you feeling better soon :sunny:

It's possibly an excessive sperm build-up messing with your riding. I suggest that you take a firm grip on the situation and lighten the load.

This problem could also be due to an excessive sperm build-up ........

I do like the pregnant and excessive sperm build up comments...
Upon a more series note, you could be coming down with something as sometimes whilst our body starts fighting the initial onslaught of a virus, other defences tend to be weakened.
Beyond that I've got no idea, have no idea of your situation...do hope it passes before summer...oh that might be it....you have winter brain.
Stay safe ... have a wee rest from the bike (if you can).

Try a different route and or a different bike to mix it up a little

....doesn't happen often, but sometimes im glad to get the bike home and in the shed 'cos it seems everything is fucking with you....dont worry about it, if we were supposed to be supermen/women 24/7 we would have names like klaus or fritz...

Six months back I had a similar experience, and then ended up bedridden with the flu a couple of days later.

It's not you, they is out to get ya...always.
Use your periphial vision.Sure look at the immediate threat (don't fixate to long)but using p-vision to scan so to speak. The more you use it the more automatic it becomes.
