I'm keen to know where your favourite motorcycle meeting place is.

Where do you go on your motorbike to meet up with fellow riders? Or where do you ride to with friends for a beverage, bite to eat or to look at goodies?

Some of mine include:

The Puhoi Pub
Deus Ex Machina
The Village Bar & Kitchen, Patumahoe

What's your favourite motorcycle hangout?

Corogate cafe when close to home and of course Kaiau tavern under the trees around the back.

Just don't park your bike on the grass after heavy rain with only your sidestand. It's not fun holding up your bike while someone else scuttles around looking for a ground puck.

I say Puhoi Pub! It's a versatile and open place for anyone to drop in. I have seen bikers galore, patched unpatched and even the od bloke in pink?????, hot rodders and classic cars....
I have seen over 100 bikes there and its always worth a strop down the motorway on a Saturday arvo.

I've never been to the Puhoi pub. From the comments it sounds like a real good place.
Better than the scallop burgers at the Coroglen tavern then?

Best one I've ever frequented is the Catherine Hill Bay Hotel near Newcastle NSW.

Always assorted patched members on the balcony out front and a blues band jammin' out back.

Beach down the road.

WHANGAMOMONA PUB

Great place to stop for beer/coffee/lunch etc, what also makes it really cool is the mix of shiny road machines enjoying the twisty hwy 43 parked up next to mud splattered enduro bikes that have just done the Old Whangamomona Road etc.

Cheers

I can't really contribute, once I start I hate to stop riding my bike. i just stop for gas really or maybe a coffee & sammie at the same time if it's a full day in the saddle. I really must be more sociable.
I do stop at the Helena Bay cafe & gallery on the Old Russell road if my gf is on the back. Good coffee, cakes & great views on a great if challenging road. Never seen any other bikes during the week though.

The Okoirore was a good place to stop for a Coldy and good food while we were living in the Waikato. Back to the Puhoi now we have moved back North.

The Station Sports Cafe and Bar complex, Hutt Road.

They have a big yard to park your bike and keep an eye on them, they do great food. Great atmosphere and they support local racers too !! There's an awesome A0 size poster/photo of one of them on the wall and a race report board.

The crew even get discount on drinks !!

Can't ask for much more than that.

I have a couple down here in dunedin. Portobello is my standing fave, really good fun road out there, and its close if you dont have time for a whole day of riding. Also the tavern at Waihola. And when heading north, theres a place in palmerston that does a good feed too. All are very biker friendly

Browny's Bar and Cafe, 6 km east of Katikati on SH2.

Browny is an old bikie, raced in Europe and West Australia, has some bikes on display, runs his own micro-brewery.

Pull into the car park off the side road off SH2, and turn right immediately onto the grass on the eastern side of the building - thats where all the bikes are parked and you can sit outside in the sun and keep an eye on your own bike and check out the other rides.

Good place for a burger, beer or coffee. Bikers from Tauranga, Whakatane, Rotorua and Hamilton call in there. I often ride there from Tauranga just for a coffee and to get some kms under my wheels.

x2 on that or for a boys night away Spanners stop in Shannon. Anyone here been there? Its bloody awesome, you park inside, biker stuff everywhere, beer, brilliant hospitality, good basic food, pool, music and piss. Best bunk house anywhere. Spanner and his Lady are the best hosts ever. In fact I'm feeling a trip up coming on, anyone in?

Any road that moves under ya wheels is better than being parked.

The top of the Rimutakas has got to be up there with the best.
A good lot of twisties up to the top, then talk bikes or whatever with whoevers there, while watching all the bikes going over.
Then you get out there and do a lap or 3 over yourself, stop at the top and have another talk and watch the bikes...then do it all over over again.
The traffic can be a pain, but you learn to pick your moments and can get some nice free runs.
A day well spent I say.
